Rare and unique Parcels music videos and covers

If you follow this music blog, you may have noticed that when it comes to music festivals, Sziget occupies a special place in my heart and Roskilde is probably my favorite one for everything that it represents, its culture and values. And you may have noticed too that if we talk about nowadays bands, Parcels are the apple of my eye. So in order not to break with that dynamic, today I’m bringing another article about these extraordinary Australians based in Berlin.

As with everything this band does, their music videos always have a neat aesthetic that invites you to watch them on and on. Nevertheless, in this article I've tried to collect some rare and unique videos, some even from before Parcels were Parcels. Enjoy!

Lifeline at the Island Vibes Festival (2012) with Louie Swain, Patrick Hetherington and Anatole "Toto" Serret

Incredible footage in which we see three of today’s Parcels members at the age of 15, pulling out sounds that today we can recognize in their music. It’s not been that long ago, and yet how much they have grown and evolved!

Louie Swain and Patrick Hetherington at the Byron Bay Film Festival (2014)

Recurrent duo made of today’s Parcels members Louie Swain and Patrick Hetherington performing at the The Byron Bay Film Festival, Australia's largest regional film festival.

Noah’s Song by Black Harrys and Potato Potato with today’s Parcels members Louie Swain, Patrick Hetherington and Noah Hill (2014)

First video where in addition to Louie and Patrick, we can see today´s Parcels bassist Noah Hill where they in fact play a song by him.

Don’t You It’s Time (Bob Evans) by Louie Swain and Patrick Hetherington (2014)

Another one by Louie and Patrick, this time covering a song by Australian singer-songwriter Bob Evans

Intro (Alt J) by Louie Swain and Patrick Hetherington (2014)

2014 seemed to be a very productive year for these two, that are a constant in every Parcels video, before and after they became what they are today. In this one where we can see Louie playing Guitar, they cover a song by English indie rock band Alt J.

Let’s Dance (David Bowie) by Parcels (2016)

Not really good quality footage but unique one of Parcels covering David Bowie at IBOAT, a stylish setting for seafood at an unusual restaurant in a ferry, with a concert hall & club.

Every Night (Paul McCartney) by Parcels (2018)

Filmed at France TV program “Basique, les sessions”, where in addition to their acclaimed songs Lightenup and Bemyself they surprised us with this delicate version of Every Night by Paul McCartney.

I Will Always Love You (Whitney Houston) by Parcels (2019)

For the famous Australian radio show that has given us so many amazing covers, Parcels surprised once again by covering this song by Whitney Houston.

Cant’t get You Out Of My Head (Kylie Minogue) by Parcels and AnnenMayKantereit (2019)

Mesmerizing version of Kylie's hit by Parcels and German band AnnenMayKantereit, filmed in the Botanic Garden of Berlin.
